Fun stuff!!!
If you guys are up for it, I propose that we do another type of skill builder/ tester course. I have mentioned to most of you before to look up Viking Tactics on YouTube and hopefully you looked it up. I'm proposing 3 challenges, they are somewhat modeled after Mr. Lamb's drills. Here they are:
[/b]
[li] 20 yds, 10 rds, 10 secs (can be 12.5 secs)
[/li][li] 10 yds, 10 rds, 5 secs (can be 7.5 secs)
[/li][li] 5 yds, 10 rds, 2.5 secs (can be 3.5 secs)
[/li][li] Timed event, 8 inch silhouette target
[/li][li] Accuracy is the key, it is a hit or no hit. Any hits outside the target zone and you're out.
[/li][li] The times listed for each distance is a guideline or standard to what the times should be. We are novices, none of us are pros so we will allow for extra time to be added as long as it is not an obscene amount. will be discussed and finalized before event.
[/li][li] Any rilfe caliber can be utilized
[/li][li] Open sights, meaning iron sights or electronic sights can be used. We want to be familiar with our primary weapon not be alienated by it. If you have it use it.
[/li][li] Can be an elimination event to make it to the next round. just to make it more interesting for competitors.
[/li][/ul]
[/b]
(modified 2x2x2)[li] 3 Targets, 3 rds each, fastest time possible
[/li][li] Timed event, 8 inch silhouette target
[/li][li] Accuracy is the key! This is a hit or no hit. Any hits outside the target zone and you're out.
[/li][li] Any rilfe caliber can be utilized.
[/li][li] Open sights, meaning iron sights or electronic sights can be used.
[/li][li] Can be an elimination event to make it to the finalround. just to make it more interesting for competitors.
[/li][/ul]
Last but not least, I proposed a final challenge. I propose a hostage type shoot, meaning there will be a bad guy with a hostage and you have to shoot the bad guy to free the hostage.
- 1 slightly hidden target, 1 round
- Timed event
- Accuracy is the key! Do not hit the hostage! Any hits on the hostage, you're out. A miss on the target, you're out.
- A rilfe or pistol (TBD) of any caliber can be utilized.
- Fastest time wins the pot.
No YouTube video for this!
